Who We Are

By sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, spreading the Word of God, and praying for those around us, Good News Ministries was born out of desire to serve God.

In October of 2021, a ministry volunteer felt led by the Lord to share the love of Christ by personally praying for those in the surrounding community, one-on-one. Just saying, “I’ll be praying for you,” wasn’t enough. The volunteer felt led to pray for people in their moment of need. In 2022, the Lord provided an opportunity for the first “Good News Drive-Thru,” located in the parking lot of Faith Fellowship Bible Church in the Rio Grande Valley. Visitors coming through vehicle lines were given a family Bible, and children were given a backpack with school supplies and a pocket Bible. In partnership with FFBC church, free clothing was given out and prayer was offered for anyone in need. During that first event, 450 people were prayed for, followed by the same number during a “Good News Christmas Drive-Thru” event in December of 2022 where Christmas toys and children’s Bibles were given out to each child. Since then, Good News Ministries has branched out into new areas including peace officer and correctional officer ministry with a desire to share our love and appreciation for those who serve and protect our communities and who may not always be able to attend church services due to their work schedules. It is our goal to see the Good News of Jesus Christ spread across our nation and around the world, to let everyone know that God loves them and has sent His son Jesus to die as an atonement for our sins and to set the captives free.
